Malindi is an excellent base for exploring the hauntingly beautiful Gedi ruins - an ancient, abandoned Swahili town that thrived hundreds of years ago. The nearby Arabuko-Sokoko Forest is the largest remaining tract of indigenous coastal forest in East Africa. Next, fly to Lamu, whose seductive charms inspire a blissful indolence. Spend four nights here soaking up the natural beauty and cultural riches of this ancient Swahili island, whose port thrived for hundreds of years and attracted traders from all over the world. Return to Nairobi for your international departure.
