Learn how to use these spices and ingredients in hands-on cooking classes. Spend five nights at the Maison Arabe in Marrakesh. Originally founded by two European women as the first restaurant in Marrakesh, the Maison Arabe has always been legendary for its exceptional cuisine. The Maison is an exceptionally stylish base from which to explore the city's highlights. Also tour the spice markets, where you will learn the secrets of a Moroccan kitchen. Your guides will introduce you to the subtleties of mint tea and the aromatic herbs that are a staple of Moroccan cuisine. Learn how to identify true saffron, and the different types of dates and nuts that are commonly used. Cooking classes will introduce you to the popular dishes of the country. Included in this program are two extravagant dinners at the city's elegant restaurants. Fly to Fes, for touring of the city and its food markets. Learn about regional culinary differences and local specialties in your cooking classes at the Maison Bleue, Fes' premier restaurant. Enjoy dinner at the Maison Bleue, where you will feast on award-winning dishes prepared according to recipes developed in the Royal Palace kitchens. You may like to enjoy an optional tour to Atlas villages, or Meknes and Volubilis. Transfer to the airport at Casablanca for your international departure.
