Your tour of Ethiopia begins with two nights in Lalibela, whose 12th century rock hewn churches are an awesome sight, particularly during one of Ethiopia's many religious festivals. Fly next to Gondar; the churches and castles of this ancient capital city are magnificently situated at the foothills of the Simien Mountains. Visit the Debre Birhan Selassie church; with a ceiling elaborately adorned with winged angels, it is surely one of Ethiopia's loveliest churches. Next, drive to Bahir Dar to explore the churches of Lake Tana and the spectacular Blue Nile Falls, one of Africa's most stirring sights. Return to Addis Ababa for your international departure.
