days/8 nights)
Cape Town, Rovos Train, Plettenberg
Bay, Kwandwe Game Reserve
Spend nine days experiencing the beauty
and grace that has made the Garden Route one of the most acclaimed
regions of South Africa. Following the coast of the Western Cape,
this is a land of forested rivers, valleys, secluded coves, and soft
sand beaches. Start with three nights in Cape Town, exploring the
city and the unique beauty of Cape Point. After savoring Cape Town's
delights, board the Rovos Rail to Knysna. This luxury train is renowned
for its classical elegance and its stately décor. The ride winds its
way slowly across the undulating landscape, providing a unique and
gracious travel experience that will be a highlight of your tour.
En route, stop at Ashton for a wine tasting excursion. Arrive in George,
from where you drive to Plettenberg Bay, whose stunning waters are
dotted with southern right whales from June to October. Spend two
nights savoring Plett's fine atmosphere. Continue on to the Kwandwe
Game Reserve, home to many species of wildlife. Spend three days here,
